America got a “language problem”

The @shitmydadsays book, worth it!

Had a chance to watch the pilot of the new CBS show “Shit My Dad Says”, a comedy based on Justin Halpern’s Twitter feed which started back in 2009.

The original title of the show is $#*! My Dad Says (spoken as "Bleep My Dad Says") – which gives you already an impression of the problem CBS is going to have here.

How do you make a TV show about a guy who’s favourite words are Fuck, Shit, Goddammit – but the TV censorship tells you to bleep those words?!?
It’s like making a porn without showing any naked skin.

In Germany this show might work coz you can use all those words on TV – but on the other hand… German TV sucks and the “creative heads” are not really that creative… it might be aired here earliest 2012 in a dubbed version.

One of the best things I like so far about the show is that William “The Shatt” Shattner is back on TV – haven’t seen him since Boston Legal which is already a few years ago.

Also, the new show “Outsourced”, running this fall on NBC, gives a nice promising look.
Story is about a guy who’s company is going to outsource the telephone hotline to India and he has got move there to keep his job, working now in India with a bunch of Indians. Well… Indians like the Americans think they are.
