Finally… the break is over – Psych is Back!
What a nice surprise when I noticed these days that the 4th season of Psych is going to be aired. Looks at least some things are going well this month ;-)
Once I had the chance to watch one episode (think it was from season 1) on a flight from Germany down to Bangkok I was a fan of those 2 funny guys.
On the one side you have Shawn Spencer (James Roday), a wanna-be psychic. Actually, he “only” got a exceptional observational skills and photographic memory that make him such a good detective.
On the other there’s Burton “Gus” Guster (Dulé Hill), Shawn’s best friend and "business" partner; also works in pharmaceuticals.
Gus is more the “straight man” of these two.
Each episode starts with some kind of “flashback” where either “kid Shawn” or “kid Shawn” and “kid Burton” will get a lesson by Shawn’s father Henry Spencer (Corbin Bernsen).
Following the intro (geez… I LOVE the theme song…!)
starts the new adventure of Shawn & Gus, mostly they have to hunt down the murderer or find missing things and / or people.
FUNNY FACT
So far there have been 3 Christmas episodes – X-mas episode 2 & 3 had a “Christmas themed intro”.
Very cool – the psych logo with candy canes and other Christmas things. Hope they continue this gag – and maybe to smth similar for Halloween ;-)
So, if you like comedy-crime-shows you should try to check out this show.
If you like Columbo (anyone remembers Peter Falk, running around this ugly trenchcoat or Columbo’s bettered car?!?) or Monk I’m sure you will also like Psych :-)
