10,980
10,980 – that’s the number of hits my video “Shopping in Bangkok - part 1”, which can origianlly found in my Thailand travel blog and one of my travelpod’s, got right now at YouTube.
Fun Facts about this video:
- Most viewers are from Australia
- 67% of the viewers were male – even if the video is showing a shopping street ;-)
- The age group mostly watched this video is between 45 and 54
So, let’s have another look at this video right now – maybe you can tell me what is so fascinating about it…
In some way I’m proud that some people are really watching (and after all also reading) my videos & blogs :-D

The German Golf License – Part 4.3

The year 2010 is a year of changes… Barack Obama isn’t that popular anymore, lotz of people I know will get a relationship or – even better – are having a baby and me, I "re-discovered" eBay (dammit... it's not a good idea to be tipsy while you have internet access nearby...) - and if everything’s going smooth, I’ll pass the 2nd License Test on May 9 (y’know that I haven’t succeded the first time, don’t you?).
Due to the fact that Europe was hit by a loooooong and hard winter there wasn’t really a chance to practice my swing nor game – so I hope that there’s nuff time from now on till the test to “improve to the max”.
That’s another reason why I’m happy to be down in Singapore in less than 10 days ;-) and I hope that the 18-holes I can play @ INDAH PURI GOLF RESORT down in Batam are a good training (yes… back to the roots *keke*)
At least my golf equipment looks more and more like I’m a serious golfer… not only that I have meanwhile a bunch of tees and balls (which I’m pretty sure I will loose quite fast in the rough and the water hazards) I also have a nice trolley for my bag (I can hear already cheering my back ;-) , a much better bag and, you won’t believe it, “pimped” my iPhone with several neat “golf apps” (Yes – I even PAYED for one! A corresponding [GOLF-]APPS ON MY IPHONE post will follow soon – in the meantime: feel free to ask which GOLF-APPS I have tried out…)
So... hope you keep your fingers crossed - otherwise I know who I can blame if I don't succeed ;-)

Golf – a price comparison try
As mentioned a few posts earlier I not only started to play golf but I also will have the chance to "practice my swing" down in Asia for a few hours.
So I thought it would be a quite nice for all you (German) golfers which are planning to go on a vacation down to Asia (not only to golf there) to have a rough overview of the prices.

Boom de Ya da
Okay, I'm talking here about the "Discovery Channel" song Boom De Ya Da which I saw the first time back November 08 in Asia.
That was THIS video:
That video brought me to the "total search result page" where I found really great versions of this song.
For example this is a quite nice version:
But now... I'm REALLY confused... coz I have seen THIS commercial on German TV a few secs ago...
That's the tv commercial for a German energy company.
According to this website the singer is Houaida Goulli and the song is called "I love the mountains" (well... I like "Boom De Yada" better *keke*).
So, either the agency (the guys who made this really cute commercial for RWE) are watching Discovery Channel on a regular base (sorry, no clue if the D.C. commercial was screened the same way in Germany than down in Singapore, Thailand and the other Asian countries) or... Houaida Goulli wrote a really great piece of music and her agent is a damn good one... :-)
Anyway, for me it will be always the Discover Channel song.

Great Pic
A white curtain of Japanese somen noodles sways in the wind at a noodle company in Niigata Prefecture. Busy season for the production of the typical summer dish will continue until mid-August, with about 400 kilograms of noodles produced every day. (Mainichi) |
