More or less everyone is using meanwhile GPS for navigation – either in the car, on the boat bridge or on a plane.
Even for hiking you can meanwhile GPS software & apps.
Let's go one step further – and use this wonderful GPS in combination with our beloved white balls to know the distance to the hole.

Option 1
You buy a real professional gadget, eg. SkyCaddie
That's more or less a "golf TomTom" – all you have to do is to order the whole hardware, the software is ready-to-use, and check if your favourite golf course is already available. If not: just download it.
Price: between EUR 280.00 and EUR 450.00 – excl. any annual plan for using this gadget (maybe coz golf stars like Natalie Gulbis are hired for the commercials?!?)

Option 2
Go for a more-or-less free alternative like I did – FreeCaddie for example, the software that I downloaded.
Just install it on your Windows Mobile phone, your iPhone or Java enabled device. The free version already offers you most of the information. The pro version got some additional features (as always).
Price: between USD 0.00 and USD 29.95

Actually, there are so many iPhone / Windows Mobile solutions that I really doubt that you are in need of the hard- / software gadget if you already have a Blackberry, Smart- / iPhone or similar.

I will give FreeCaddie a try – if it's not working well, the next piece of software will be installed.

Are YOU using any GPS tools or gadgets to measure the distance to the flag? Let me know :-)
