Mission 36. Accomplished – but CSA sux

It’s official. It’s done. Since 21. Sep 2011 I have an official golf handicap! No more restrictions world-wide. No more “What is HCP 54?” questions.

My “final” tournament was held at the Golfpark Goeppingen – offically a 9-hole tournament course where I had to play the full course twice.

As you can see – it wasn’t such a bad round, with a total score of 115 strokes and 42 Stableford points. Only thing which I don’t like are the zeros at hole #2 and #4… but at the end I ranked #1

A more detailed scorecard can be found HERE.

Due to the fact that I haven’t expected to be able to improve my handicap for such a good result I also signed up for the 1. Volksfest Golf-Cup here in Stuttgart – where I only shot a 31.
Not a real bad result (according to the DGV [the PGA of Germany] the average score of every golfer is 30 to 32 per year). But then… the CSA came along – and not only it had a “-1” with him, but with this I only scored officially 30 points, which results of a new HCP of –35.2
That’s why I don’t like the Competition Stableford Adjustment (CSA).
