As you might have already noticed, there’s a huge discussion going on in Germany and other countries about Google’s Street View service.
IMHO this service is a good one – and the whole “THEY (Google) are intruding my privacy because they may or may not took a picture of me, my car, my house…” discussion is going me on the nuts – especially if you see FACEBOOK groups like this:
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr………….. have I missed something?!? I am AGAINST Google’s Street View because it’s intruding my privacy –so I join a Facebook group to tell the world “I am against Google Street View”?!?
You remember Facebook? The company / online service which says that ALL content YOU upload / write like pictures, videos etc is, as soon as you hit the SEND button, Facebook’s own content and no longer yours? Facebook – the perfect place to find your picture, completely drunk & pissed at last year’s Christmas office party? And here you tell the world that you are against this Google service…?!?
Isn’t this a paradox par excellence?
Maybe they (the politicians) should FIRST get a basic course about “What is the Internet” and “Technology of the 21st century” before they demonize everything new – OR they should just do it the North Korean way and shut down the whole Internet again. But then… Welcome back to the stone age…
