If you, like me a few days ago, decide to upgrade your GolfShot-app (www.golfshot.com) from the LITE / “scorecard only” version to the GPS version I would like to give you following advise.
After installation of Golfshot GPS while Golfshot free was still installed I noticed that either of them was out-of-sync. So, make sure that Golfshot free is no longer installed when you would like to use Golfshot GPS.
Here’s the official feedback from Golfshot support:
1- Yes, automatic syncing between multiple devices or between Golfshot LITE and Golfshot: Golf GPS on the same device is not currently supported.
Golfshot: Golf GPS saves round scores on the device used to enter the round. This information stays on the original device or app until you sync. Syncing updates the information on the Servers.
Open Golfshot > Account > Sync on your iPhone to update the round information on the servers for your account.
You would need to logout of your Golfshot LITE account and log back in if you want to see rounds entered on your Golfshot: Golf GPS app.
Since the GPS app does all the same features of the LITE app we recommend deleting the Golfshot lite app and only using the full GPS app.
2- If you log into Golfplan with the same account then whatever information you save to our servers will download to Golfplan. Please be sure to login with the exact same email address and password.
Hope that this will help you in case that you sit with question marks in front of your iPhone / Android gadget.
From my point of view Golfshot GPS is one of the best golf apps you can get for your money – for less than USD 30.00 you get not only GPS information like up-to-date Google area view but also a very powerful statistics program.
Used Golfshot lite for stats tracking now since I started to play golf and after all I would rate this app 4 of 5 stars.
